Two decades ago, John Tosco invited a few of his musician friends for an informal song circle/jam session in his living room. These "Music Parties" became a way to gather with friends and fellow musicians to create an evening of acoustic music. Through the years, and largely by word of mouth, the Tosco Music Parties (www.toscomusicparty.org) have grown in size and scope. What began in Tosco's living room soon moved on to larger venues. For the past four years, the "unplugged" showcase has continually sold out the 700-seat McGlohon Theatre in Spirit Square.
This is the 5th annual Beatles Tribute Night presented by John Tosco and The Evening Muse, and is just like a Tosco Music Party - only all Beatles songs! The format of the evening is a performance of one or two songs by each of a variety of approximately 20 scheduled acts (professional and amateur alike) who donate their time and talent. The evening is an eclectic mix of all styles of music and includes Tosco's trademark sing-alongs. It is a smoke-free, family event that still retains the original "living room" feeling.
